And, the heat is on....

All year 3 classes will be participating in this year's prize day which is going to be held on Friday the 17 December.  We are working on 'Christmas around the world', which is a 20-minute 'spectacle' of music, dance and singing.  The children are really excited but loads of things still need to be done and learnt!  So off we go to work...  Prize Day here we come...!!!

This week we are doing the 'My Body' Theme.  We talked about different parts of our body and how to keep it healthy and clean.  We learnt that we have to eat the right things if we want to have a healthy body.  So on Wednesday, we all brought along a bowl of cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt to enjoy a healthy breakfast at school. 

On Friday, 12 November, we all came prepared with our PE Kits to enjoy a day full of activites at the Cottonera Sports Complex.  Sport is really important for our bodies as it keeps us healthy and fit.  Here are some photos of this activity.

And off we go to Buskett for a whole day of activities!

We left at 9.00a.m. and  met the science teachers who led the way through Buskett.  We were given a booklet on which we recorded our findings.  Each group was given a science box full of resources such a magnifying glass, thermometers and special jars in which we could observe insects and other small animals.  We had great time learning about the environment!
